Watch: Nasa astronauts conduct 6.5-hour spacewalk outside ISS

We need to stay away from any form of speculative thinking. Provide facts: NASA astronauts Anil Menon and Jessica Meir performed a spacewalk on Thursday which lasted 6.5 hours (The article timestamp shows uploadDate 2026-08-06 which indicates the date as August 6 2026). The team installed mounting hardware which will support future solar array installations on the 3B power channel. The text requires alternative wording for "ventured outside" because it needs different ways to express this idea. Check for any distinctive phrasing: "install mounting hardware" is generic. "prepare the station’s 3B power channel for the future installation of new roll-out solar arrays." We'll rephrase. "According to the BBC, NASA astronauts Anil Menon and Jessica Meir stepped outside the International Space Station on Thursday for a spacewalk that lasted six and a half hours. The astronauts connected mounting brackets during their spacewalk which will serve to support upcoming roll-out solar panels on the station’s 3B power channel. The hardware receives its current installation because the arrays need to receive power from upcoming space missions which will boost ISS experimental power availability.
